 National Truck-In Board Zoom Meeting  

February 27, 2022 @ 7:00pm 

          

Roll Call

Lynn gave treasurer’s report. Tim moved and Coop seconded to approve the report – passed. 

48th Nats Report: Tim has received a packet of bills from Nancy.  He plans to close account by the end of March. 

 He will cut checks to Albert Lee Fire Department, Van Museum, Twin City Vans, and National Truck-In Board with remaining proceeds from the 48th Nats. 

Joe moved and Tim seconded that the Board sponsor Bands for the 49th and 50th Nats for least $3,000.00 each – passed. 

Tim moved and Billo seconded that the Board look into sponsoring a “name” band for 50th – passed. 

49th Nats report by Coop:  

• Reserved 20 golf carts- 17 now rented

• Still working on Ice. Price quote currently is way too high.

• 225 pre-regs at this time

• Support t-shirts and posters are selling great

• A lot of trophy sponsorships have been received

• The Porta johns have been acquired and many are rented

• Cotton Jackson is in charge of bands. All have been signed.  

        There will be 2 stages each night. one inside and one outside.

• Fireworks and all permits, insurance, etc. is being taken care of, 

         along with burning of the BurningVan.

• There will be a “Fire Show” after the Bright and Shine, by the Amazing Giants.

• Meet and Greet by Nats Board will have grilled hotdogs, beans, and coleslaw. 

        Possible appearance by the Wienermobile.

• Starting Monday before the Nats, all Board Members, Alternates, and 

        Support Staff will be needed to man the front gate.

        Judith will have a sign-up sheet.

Lynn moved and Joe seconded that the Board retain rights of t-shirt sales after the 51st Nats - passed.  The contract will be changed if needed. 

Discussion of what is required to be on the Nats Board.  The nine Nats Board members will discuss further and bring back to the group. 

Billo gave a short update on 50th Nats. 

Discussion on the Board providing USA shaped key chains for 49th Nats, to be given in goodie bag.  Coop will check prices and more details and get back to the Board. 

Discussion of making embroidered Nats Board patches.  Joe will get prices for 50 and 100 and get back to Board. 

Competition Committee Report—Previous Best of Show winners will be in attendance at 49th Nats.  A special “Corral” area will be provided for vans, owners, and builders.

 Special mugs will be presented. 

Next Nats Board Zoom meeting will be held April 3rd 7pm.   Meeting adjourned 8:10 pm
