MINUTES NATIONAL TRUCK-INâ BOARD JULY 10, 2003

KANSAS CITY

 

Judith called the meeting to order at 5 PM. We dispensed with the reading of the minutes.

Those present were Rick, Howard, Charlotte, Joe, Coop, Ray, Judith, Jim, Chris, Rick, Nancy, Diane, Danny, Gary and Dave. The roster was updated.

 

The treasures report was given

 

The ad campaign: Joe has sent several articles to CrusinStyle and we have place adds in the same magazine.

 

Fund Raisers: Joe will do Candy Bars. We will sell then at C. of C. and what is left We will take home to sell.

Charlotte will look into massage fingers and we will give massages and Sell the fingers at C. of C.

We will do a Bitch Booth Friday night here at the Nat’s. Coop has made Sticker that say I bitched at the Nat’sâ Board to hand out. It will cost .25 Cents per bitch with a 30 second limit. You bitch at us or we bitch at you. Or we will bitch at someone else for you. We will also sell toy vans that Have our logo on one side and 30 years of Vanning on the other side.

 

31^st Nat’s: So far there are 375 vans in the gate. 115 went to the drive-in and 147 went to drive the track. Everything is going well.

 

Motor Home Survey. We took turns sitting in the goodie bag room with the survey on Wednesday. Danny will take the survey to the 32^nd Nat’s registration booth and we will have it available at the bitch booth. We handed out a complete survey and we also did a one-line survey. Judith will compile the survey in time for C. of C.

 

Tom Cronister gave us Cozies and Sticker and pins from Wheels of Confusion Van Club. Tom thanked us for a job well done.

 

Logo: Although we have been making sure all is correct on the Nat’s Logo on all the flyers it was felt that in the future, we should have the last say on the Flyer itself. We need to be checking for misspelled words and content. Joe, Coop and Rick sill submit a proposal for a standard Vendors contract to be used by the Nat’s.

 

Nationals 2004 in Michigan: Per Danny there will be no Motor homes or Walk-ins at the Nationals. This was a concern since there is a nice State Park across the street. The only motor homes will be those of the host club who will not park with the general Vanning guest. There will be a potluck dinner for Vanners night in. More details will follow. Danny will get the flyers to us as some were left at home.
